Construction Projects are the core of HomeAid’s mission. HomeAid pairs nonprofits with builders and trade partners who renovate or build facilities and donate 30 to 100% of all costs. Our partner builders and trade partners do what they do best: efficiently build or renovate housing and programmatic facilities. In the end, these projects are energy efficient and durable, resolve any existing safety issues, and increase program space.
In addition to the direct impact on individuals experiencing homelessness, these projects increase the sustainability of the local nonprofit safety net. HomeAid’s nonprofit partners often do not have the funding, expertise, or staff time to undertake construction projects. Rather than redirect resources from programs that help those experiencing homelessness HomeAid provides upgrades at a discount to the service provider—allowing them to invest in services rather than building expenses.
