In 2021, HomeAid completed eight renovation projects for non-profit organizations serving Northern Virginia and beyond. Thanks to the generosity of our Builder Captains and Trade Partners, we were able to cover 78% of the cost for these projects. These savings have enabled our partners to redirect critical funding into housing, financial education, job skills training, and other critical programs that help individuals and families move out of crisis and toward self-sufficiency. Nearly $.95 of every dollar we receive is mission-focused and supports the renovation and build projects we complete.
In addition to building safe housing and programmatic facilities for people in crisis, HomeAid supplements the work of our shelter partners in a variety of ways—collecting grocery store gift cards, diapers and baby wipes for families and single mothers in need, household essentials for those moving into a brand new HomeAid renovated facility, bringing hope to those who might not otherwise have any, and convening non-profit service providers and government officials to discuss important topics ranging from race relations to mental and personal health care.
If your organization serves individuals or families affected by homelessness and has housing or program space that is in need of extensive renovations or you have a bigger construction vision for the future, HomeAid can help!
Serving as a Builder Captain may be one of the most satisfying construction projects you, your partners, and your staff will ever experience.
Trade Partners are the backbone of our accomplishments! Each HomeAid project relies on the generosity, expertise, and commitment of many partners working together.
You don’t need to be a Builder or Trade Partner to be part of the solution—find out how you can get involved!
