HomeAid works with dozens of Nonprofit Partners across the D.C., Maryland and Virginia area to help them realize their building/renovation goals. HomeAid has completed over 160+ projects at facilities owned or operated by homeless shelters and other nonprofits that work with those experiencing or at risk of experiencing homelessness to ensure they have safe and dignified spaces to run their programs efficiently.
Nonprofit Construction Projects are renovations/new builds completed at a 30-100% savings. HomeAid vets applications and then finds a Builder Captain to lead the project. is designed to help nonprofit organizations prepare housing units for new clients by painting throughout and replacing flooring. These are performed quickly so units can be turned over for another family and is funded by HomeAid. Learn more about our. Learn more about our Turnover Program here.
In addition, to our construction projects HomeAid National Capital Region provides programs like our morning at Wolf Trap which includes free tickets to a performance, lunch, brand new backpack and a gift card to shop for school supplies. HomeAid also collects and distributes diapers and baby wipes to nonprofits serving families with small children.
