Women Giving Back’s (WGB) Second Annual Cinco de Mayo celebration was a huge success, drawing 130 guests and raising more than $22,000 to help support WGB’s continued efforts to provide clothing and accessories to transitionally homeless women and children. Of course, there was plenty of fun to be had too, with wine, beer and tequila tasting; dancing; traditional Mexican food; and the chance to win big at the raffle table!
“It seemed that everyone was a winner, whether they took home Redskins tickets, a spa treatment, one-of-a-kind jewelry, or even a fly fishing experience,” said WGB Board Member Pat Leader. “The event was so much fun, and everyone had a great time. And with 50-plus sponsors and incredibly generous donations, it was our most successful event to date!”
