Kristyn Burr-Venus recently joined HomeAid as the new program and operations manager and will be responsible for managing shelter care projects in Northern Virginia. Kristyn formerly worked as a marketing consultant in Waltham, Mass., following her experience with Serviam Girls Academy in New Castle, Del., and The National MS Society in Omaha, Neb. She earned her MBA in marketing and finance from Bellevue University and received a Nonprofit Management Certification from the University of Delaware in 2011.
“Being able to work for an organization with an incredible mission, passionate people and the ability to build hope and empower people in our community is something I am honored to be a part of,” she said. “Life is all about making a positive impact where we can, when we can and however we can.”
Kristyn lives in Centreville with her husband, Michael, a Lieutenant Colonel in the Air Force, and their daughter, Emery. She is also a newly certified yoga teacher, an avid cyclist, and enjoys traveling, reading and experiencing life through the eyes of her curious toddler.
