Van Metre Raises $30,000 for HomeAid

2014-cornhole-winThe Van Metre Companies’ Third Annual Cornhole Challenge on October 11 was a record-breaking success, with 58 registered teams and $30,000 raised. The tournament took place during the Brambleton Fall Festival, and 100 percent of the proceeds from the event will benefit HomeAid Northern Virginia.

“We raised $20,000 over the course of our first two years combined, so to bring in $30,000 this year alone really illustrates how much bigger it was than expected,” said Kevin Rabil, operations manager for Van Metre. “Van Metre has always sponsored the event, but this year was the first time the company Foundation took it on as its own, and that was a huge part of our success. We also registered 20 more teams than we have in the past.”
