Trade Partner Spotlight: HDS Drywall

Sometimes old friends are the best friends, and when it came time to recruit trade partners to help turn an empty warehouse into retail space for HomeAid Northern Virginia and the Women Giving Back (WGB) Store, project managers from Toll Brothers, Inc., knew just who to call: Mark Elmore, owner of HDS Drywall.

The two companies go back a long time: HDS was the first drywall company to work with Toll Brothers when it expanded for the first time into the Virginia marketplace.

Bryant Cruzado, a project manager for Toll Brothers who was involved in the WGB project, was quick to point out that all of the trade partners did a great job. “We couldn’t have completed this project—as fast and as well as we did—without the help from all of our trade partners. HDS Drywall always stands out, though. Not only did they do all the framing, drywall, painting and drop ceiling labor for the project, but they were always incredibly responsive and adapted to every change in the schedule and every shift in our needs. They’re a great company that always goes above and beyond to make sure a project finishes on time.”

“We’ve done a half-dozen projects over the years for HomeAid,” Elmore added. “It’s a great opportunity to give back to the community, and we felt the WGB Store is a great cause. We had a team of about 12 men working on the project, and all of us were glad to be involved.”

HDS Drywall was founded in 1976 and works almost exclusively with residential new homebuilders, installing drywall and painting. HDS services the entire D.C. metropolitan area, Virginia’s Tidewater region, and Raleigh, N.C. For more information, please call 703.661.0790.
