Stanley Martin Homes’ Mike Cleary Honored with HAND Award

Mike Cleary, vice president of construction at Stanley Martin Homes and a three-time builder captain for HomeAid, was honored with the HAND Housing Achievement – Virginia Peters Nonprofit Friend of the Year Award, in recognition of “going over and beyond to do his part in helping create affordable homes for those in need.”

In 2013, Cleary coordinated a major renovation for Northern Virginia Family Service (NVFS) that brought together 46 trade partners to provide a rehabilitated home for a previously homeless disabled Navy veteran and his two sons. He has also led projects that renovated a home for a single mother and her four daughters, and a transitional housing facility for Christian Relief Services. HomeAid Northern Virginia also honored Cleary in 2013 with the President’s Award in recognition of his exceptional dedication to the mission of ending homelessness.
