This project focused on a single-family home owned and operated by Langley Residential Support Services, an organization that provides supportive housing for individuals with developmental disabilities. The goal of the project was to enhance the safety, accessibility, and functionality of the home, ensuring a more comfortable and dignified living environment for its residents.
We replaced outdated and insufficient appliances with new models, replaced old and broken cabinets, and upgraded worn carpet with durable luxury vinyl plank flooring, including new carpeting on the stairwell. The home received a fresh coat of paint throughout. We installed lever-style door handles to improve accessibility for residents, added a secure storage area to organize household supplies and resident medications, and replaced bathroom vanities and hardware. We also power-washed and re-stained the gazebo, removed and replaced the rotting stairs leading to it, reinforced the rear exterior stairwell and handrails, and performed a comprehensive roof inspection to ensure there were no leaks or damages.
Together, these improvements transformed the home into a safer, more functional, and more welcoming space, allowing it to better support residents’ comfort, independence, and overall quality of life.
Langley Residential Support Services serves adults with developmental disabilities, their families, and our communities by providing quality, comprehensive residential and community support services.
