HomeAid Northern Virginia Announces Recipient of Presidents’ Award

Chantilly, VA, September 10, 2013  — HomeAid Northern Virginia, which builds and renovates homeless shelters, transitional houses and other facilities that help homeless families and individuals, announced today that Mike Cleary, vice president of production, Stanley Martin Homes, has won its annual Presidents’ Award.

The Presidents’ Award, presented to an individual, a company or an organization that has shown exceptional dedication to the goal of ending homelessness with service to HomeAid Northern Virginia, is the organization’s highest honor.

“Mike embodies the true spirit of helping those who are less fortunate in our community,” said Russell S. Rosenberger, Jr., president, Madison Homes, Inc. and president, HomeAid Northern Virginia.  “He recently initiated and managed a home renovation for Northern Virginia Family Service (NVFS) and arranged for 100% of the costs to be donated by subcontractors and trade partners. This saved NVFS $134,000—money they can use to serve the homeless in our community.”

Mike Cleary will receive his award at HomeAid Northern Virginia’s 12th Anniversary Gala and Auction, November 2, 2013, 6:00 pm, Westin Washington Dulles Airport.
