A non-profit group in Sterling is offering free professional clothing to women from more than 100 shelters in northern Virginia.
Lydia Baidoe is one of the women who were helped by the group. She came to the U.S. from Ghana a single mother with three children. Her family shared a home with another family while she worked menial jobs.
“I had to chose between buying food and buying clothes and as a mother of course food came first,” Baidoe said.
