Congratulations to K. Hovnanian Homes®, recently named a finalist in the Washington Business Journal’s Jefferson Awards for Public Service!
K. Hovnanian has volunteered to serve as a HomeAid Northern Virginia Builder Captain for four major projects serving the needs of the homeless in Northern Virginia, and has, along with its trade partners, renovated and constructed more than 10,000 square feet of space worth approximately $1.08 million in materials and labor, about 87 percent of which was donated. The company’s most recent project with HomeAid was the renovation and expansion of Northern Virginia Family Service’s family emergency shelter located at SERVE in Manassas, one of the largest projects ever completed by HomeAid Northern Virginia in its 11-year history.
The final nominee selection will be made in May, with an announcement and awards presentation made at the publication’s annual Philanthropy Breakfast.
