One flood would be bad enough, but three floods was a disaster for one of NOVACO’s condo units. And, although the cause of the flooding was fixed relatively easily with improved grading and draining, the water damage left behind included destroyed flooring and mold.
It was then that NOVACO joined forces with HomeAid for the fifth time, welcoming builder captain BOWA for its very first renovation project with HomeAid.
“BOWA and their trade partners did an outstanding job in repairing and improving this home,” said Victoria Neeley, NOVACO’s executive director. “Together, they handled all the mold remediation work, renovated the kitchen, installed new flooring, painted, and built a small outdoor patio with flower beds. Installing new, higher-grade doors and sliding doors helped to save space and give the whole unit a brighter, fresher look. It’s a huge improvement.”
Geoff Kuck, assistant production manager for BOWA, said that as a first time builder captain, BOWA was proud to give back to the community in such a meaningful way. “BOWA has been an active member of the greater Washington community for the past 23 years, and we believe strongly in supporting the organizations that are important to our employees, clients and business partners. Our work with HomeAid is a perfect example, and has proven to be a feel-good experience for us all.”
