Beazer Homes has donated 40 nearly new electric double ovens to HomeAid Northern Virginia, and HomeAid is now in the process of coordinating their distribution through Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore outlets in Northern Virginia.
Beazer recently replaced a group of ovens in one of its four condominium communities, and although the ovens are lightly used, they’re all in excellent working condition. “We’d hate to see them go to landfill,” said Gary Szebalskie, vice president of customer care for Beazer Homes. “They’re in great condition and have years of life left in them, so we’re hoping that by donating them, we can help raise money for HomeAid and help the environment.”
Fifty percent of profits resulting from the sales of the appliances will come back to HomeAid Northern Virginia and used to help build and renovate emergency and transitional housing for local homeless individuals and families.
