Barry Schwartz – 2021 President’s Circle Award Recipients

Barry Schwartz’s dedication, generosity and commitment to HomeAid in our mission rebuild lives through construction and outreach made him an obvious choice for the presidents’ award.

Barry’s commitment was second to none. Our Board president in 2007 and an important member of our Board since 2004, Barry gave his everything to support HomeAid’s mission, whether he was chairing our Shelter Projects Committee, guiding and working with our Board, or leading a project as a Builder Captain through his homebuilding company, Schwartz Enterprises. In the early 2000s, he continued his volunteer leadership with NVBIA, serving on their Executive Committee and Board of Directors.
He was always willing to step in and contribute whether it was time, money or attending the many events associated with HomeAid as well as connect and engage those around him to what we do.

When we think of Barry the first words that come to mind are generous, kind, sincere and committed. He was the most positive person we knew and had a laugh that was contagious. He showed up professionally and personally for what he cared about and we are incredibly grateful for his dedication and passion.

The world sadly lost Barry in late January. Our hearts are with his family, friends and all whose lives he touched. His legacy will live on through those who loved him and that which he did for others.
