12th Annual Gala & Auction a Sold-Out Success; $250,000 Raised for HomeAid

HomeAid Northern Virginia’s 12th Annual “Mardi Gras” Gala & Auction on November 2 was again a roaring success, with a sellout crowd of more than 450 people attending and fundraising totals exceeding $250,000 through event registration, sponsorships, the silent and live auction, and the $46,000 paddle challenge and match from Doug and Ann Smith. Dollars raised, in fact, beat out last year’s totals by more than $100,000.

The night’s festive atmosphere was spurred on by great music, a huge crowd and colorful costumes inspired by the Big Easy’s biggest party of the year.

“This was one of our most successful Galas to date,” said HomeAid Northern Virginia President Russ Rosenberger, “made all the more meaningful by the sold-out crowd. As our biggest fundraiser of the year, it’s incredibly gratifying to see so many turn out for the event, help us celebrate the year’s many successes and the positive impact we made, and congratulate all of our Presidents’ Circle Award winners.”
