“We get a lot out of helping others,” said Butch Gearheart, Senior Vice President of Construction for Richmond American. “When we first saw the condominium we knew it needed a lot more work than NOVACO originally wanted. And, we knew that our subcontractors and suppliers would want to fix this place up right.”
“We got all the volunteers we needed and saved NOVACO around $30,000 in labor, supplies and expertise,” Gearheart said. “In the end we rehabbed the whole 4 bedroom condo…”
NOVACO helps homeless victims of domestic abuse become healthy, secure and self-sufficient by providing housing, education, childcare, counseling and mentoring during an 18-24 month program.
