A sizeable portion of Cornerstones‘ (formerly known as Reston Interfaith) forty townhouses are older, and have energy inefficient single paned windows and sliding glass doors. Now, “One of our Herndon units has beautiful new windows and a sliding glass door compliments of HomeAid Northern Virginia and thanks to the efforts of Josila Smith with Builder Captain SugarOak Corporation.” “This is an important renovation for the units as it results in utility cost savings for the residents and lower energy consumption,” said McMahon. The estimated value of the project is $5,000.

“We appreciate the heart-felt community work that HomeAid does in assisting organizations like ours,” said Tim McMahon, Vice President, Housing and Community Development for Reston Interfaith Housing Corporation. “They are heart partners and practical supporters.”

Special Thanks to Builder Captain
