Community Lodgings Renovations Taking Shape

After HomeAid Northern Virginia and Builder Captain Pulte Homes held the official groundbreaking on one of the biggest projects in HomeAid’s 11-year history—the complete renovation of Community Lodgings, a 10-unit apartment building in the City of Alexandria—they have wasted no time in getting started on what will ultimately be a $900,000 project that will provide transitional housing for homeless families and individuals as they work to regain their confidence and get back on their feet.

At press time, Pulte and its 26 trade partners had completed the interior demolition; installed new electrical wiring, some HVAC venting, and new windows; and the studs for the reconfigured interior space had been installed. Look for the Dedication and Ribbon-cutting announcement in February 2013!
